We know taxes can be confusing and you have many questions.  Here are some of the more common ones.  Contact us to discuss further.

How long should I keep my records?

You should keep any and all documents used to prepare your tax returns for seven years.

What method is best for receiving my refund?

Direct Deposit is preferred over having a check mailed to you. It is safer and faster.

How does the increase in the Standard Deduction effect the documents I need for my tax return?

If you have itemized in the past, you should continue to keep all documents related to medical, mortgage, charitable contributions and state, local and sales taxes. Bring all to your tax preparer so he/she can confirm if you are still able to itemize.
